No, not Christmas. But something nearly as exciting: The Liv Christmas Launch!
Last Saturday, spurred on by a killer buffet and a visit from Melt’s very own Cheryl Hook, we officially launched a new range of fabulous products, just in time for Christmas.
For those unable to make it, a wonderful time was had by all at the Kingfisher Centre in Rossendale (our base!), with croissants to start, followed by a large helping of introductions, a side of Liv history and a cheeky number of orders from consultants AND guests wanting to sample our existing products!
Our directors Pam and Elaine got everybody in the mood by reminding us of Liv’s background, the perks of being a consultant; and more importantly – our passion for developing “intrepreneurs.” For those not in the know (like yours truly – cough!) the term is used to describe someone becoming entrepreneurial from within a company – something Liv is a big fan of, along with giving opportunities to women and continuing to support British designers and manufacturers.
We also heard from several consultants giving their own unique ideas for spreading the Liv – with social media being a huge hit; from videos of men comparing the taste of beer in Spiegelau versus “other” glasses, to the immensely popular Facebook Live events. Facebook Live proved a firm favourite, with the “test and demonstrate” approach helping to get the products out there…. not to mention helping the consultants’ personalities shine through! And a big well done to Helen Chidlow and Shelly Turner – who were both rewarded for bringing in new consultants!
Enter Cheryl Hook, in a waft of her very own “Noir” – made exclusively with candle ingredients but with an alcohol base to double as a perfume (Jealous? Nah!). And what a fascinating woman! For nearly half an hour she enthralled her rapt audience with tales of the Melt origins (or “messing around with wax in a bain-marie”), the process and timing behind each candle and her never-ending quests for gorgeous new scents. Giving the consultants lots of information to take away, Cheryl was clearly very passionate about her work and inspirational when talking about starting her own business (not to mention also making everyone immediately want to rush out and spend £200 on candles!)
Keep an eye out for our upcoming blog next week – where I’ll be looking at our exciting new range of Christmas products and the existing Liv products you can use them with!
Before I go, I’ll just leave you with an equally wonderful, yet equally terrifying thought:
CHRISTMAS IS ONLY 3 MONTHS (80 DAYS) AWAY.
Till next time!
